An Interesting Lesson with Dell Technologies

On August 17th and 18th, the 11th and 12th graders of The Oxford International School had the opportunity to visit the Dell Technologies office, where they were warmly welcomed and shown a presentation on the process that awaits them as they will soon apply for jobs. The presentation included tips on how to write a resume, including the do’s and don'ts. In addition, they were shown the unspoken rules of dress code for interviews and work. They even had the opportunity to participate in a mock interview, where volunteers from the audience would be asked questions shown in the presentation, to which they gave their own answers. They also got feedback on their cover letters and curriculum, and what would need to be revised or adapted. The Dell Technologies Field Trip was a great experience for the students to learn more about the working field, and how to present themselves in the not so distant future. Dell was also a great host, apart from the lessons, they also gave them memorabilia and some delicious cookies.
