On Monday, September 18th, former OIS student Edrian Pérez presented anecdotes of his experience at the mathematics Olympics, where he traveled around the world. He shared the opportunity he got as he met people from different cultures and had more exposure to other intelligent minds, such as his own.

He explained the importance of not only having to be intelligent to participate but also needing discipline, as he also had tutoring and practice sessions to become more familiar with the topics.

He is grateful to have had this great experience, and today he is sharing a project with other people called Circu Saver, which consists of student leaders and researchers focusing on the importance of recycling and saving the environment. It details how schools can help with this cause and give students the opportunity to try new methods of studying without harming the environment with an excessive overuse of paper.

With this, he also gave students the opportunity to participate in inquiring about his project and presentation, with two important questions:

● How are schools wasting paper?

● How can this be fixed?

Certainly, his speech was a great experience and motivation for all students alike. There isn't a limit to what you dream of; just push on and do the best you can to achieve it.
